Total Sports Asia Honored to Bring the FIFA World Cup 2026™ to Malaysia

PRESS RELEASE                                                                               11-6-2026

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
• Kuala Lumpur, 11th June, 2026

Total Sports Asia Honored to Bring the FIFA World Cup 2026™ to Malaysia

Total Sports Asia (TSA) secures the media rights of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ from FIFA as the official Malaysian licensing partner, working with RTM and Telekom Malaysia (TM) to bring all 104 matches to Malaysian audiences on free-to-air and digital platforms.
TSA, through its Malaysian entity Total Sports Sdn Bhd, has been appointed by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) as the official licensee of the Malaysian media rights for the FIFA World Cup 2026™. The Media Rights Agreement, covers all 104 matches including the opening and closing ceremonies, with rights across free-to-air television, radio, digital, streaming and mobile, as well as Public Viewing Rights throughout Malaysia.
TSA is proud to work with Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) as the national free-to-air broadcaster and radio service provider, and with Telekom Malaysia (TM) via its Unifi platform as digital distributor. The partnership is built so that every Malaysian, in every part of the country and on every device, can watch every match of the tournament this year. TSA also thanks the broadcast sponsors Celcom/Digi, uMobile and TM Unifi who have come on board to support the broadcast to Malaysian fans.
TSA would also like to acknowledge Sports Media Distributor (SMD) for its support and role in securing the necessary arrangements with the above mentioned operators.
TSA was founded in Kuala Lumpur in 1997, and has spent the last 29 years building the sports business in the country and across Asia. The company’s work in Malaysia includes the Axiata Cup, which was the first Badminton tournament with over USD 1 million prize pool, the first venue naming-rights partnership in Southeast Asia with the Axiata Arena, and consulting work at KL Sports City and the Johor Sports Master Plan. Across three decades TSA has generated more than US$650 million in new revenue for the sports industry worldwide, a large portion in media rights trading, and money that has been reinvested into events, competitions, infrastructure and athletes.
TSA’s philosophy has always been a WIN-WIN-WIN: a win for the sport, a win for the fans, and a win for the brand partners who help make great sport possible. The FIFA World Cup 2026™ is the clearest example of what that philosophy can deliver. Few activities bring people together the way football does, and the World Cup brings all Malaysians together like nothing else.
“We are deeply honored to be entrusted with bringing the FIFA World Cup to Malaysian homes. We have built our company in this country for 29 years, and there is no greater privilege than serving the
Malaysian fans at the biggest sporting moment in the world. We will work hard with RTM, TM Unifi and our sponsors to deliver a tournament that every Malaysian can be part of.”
Marcus Luer, Founder and Group CEO, Total Sports Asia
The FIFA World Cup 2026™ runs from 11 June to 19 July 2026 across Canada, Mexico and United States, with 48 national teams taking part for the first time.
